ALCiT’s founders Loïc Calvez and Mariano De Luca, were shocked to discover the differences between the great tools available to large enterprises and the ones available to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). They came up with a model that would allow them to slice those great large-enterprise tools into smaller chunks, which could then be offered to SMEs (a concept now known as Software as a Service).

After several years of growing with this model, it became clear that cybersecurity was a growing concern in the industry, so ALCiT shifted its focus to providing large-enterprise-grade security tools to SMEs who were now being heavily targeted by cybercriminals. It soon became clear that providing tools was not enough, organizations needed a partner that could manage these tools day-to-day.
